Cyberpunk 2077

If the game developed by CD PROJEKT underwent a sluggish start causing many bugs, its updated version has restored a little the image of Cyberpunk 2077. In the heart of the megalopolis of Night City, you play as a cyber-mercenary who fights a constant fight for his survival. The game offers you to choose between several origins… a street kid, a nomad and a corporatist. Although these are no-choices, they all lead to a well-written and captivating storyline. The side quests have also been worked on. If Cyberpunk 2077 is an FPS, it is its PRG dimension that makes it a special title with its open world conducive to exploration. The streets are extremely detailed and each area has its own atmosphere.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4 and PS5.

Demon’s Souls Remake

Demon’s Souls Remake is the PS5 remake of the eponymous role-playing game released in 2009 on PS3. In this version developed by Bluepoint Games, the player still controls a hero sent to the fictional kingdom of Boletaria to slay the demon. Considered at the time as a difficult and demanding game, this remake wanted to keep this bias and place difficulty at the center of the experience. The timing against enemies is the same making the gameplay very addictive even if the combos remain limited. The inventory has benefited from several improvements. Moreover, the developers have said goodbye to the concept of clutter. The class system at the time of character creation has also been revised to make the hero more versatile.

  • Demon’s Souls Remake is available on PS5.

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is the “ultimate” version of the fifth episode of the saga. This edition for the PlayStation 5 allows you to embody four characters, namely Dante, V, Nero and Vergil who are all without exception demon hunters. The Beat’em All developed and published by Capcom thus offers very different gameplay depending on the hero incarnate. Each weapon and each skill adds an additional playful layer here to make the experience more exhilarating than ever. Devil May Cry 5 follows Devil May Cry 4, but it is not necessary to have played the previous episode to understand the storyline of 5.

  • Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is available on PS5.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut takes place in the middle of 13th century Japan where Jin Sakai, samurai from the island of Tsushima, is working to repel the Mongol invasion. Exploration is a very important point for the developers, which is reflected in the level design with a map that is full of details. During combat, Jin Sakai can use many weapons (bow, explosives, smoke bombs, kunaïs) even if the handling of the sword remains central to the gaming experience. It is also possible to improve Jin Sakai via a skill tree. However, side quests can get repetitive. The Director’s Cut version corrects some flaws of the original title released on PS4 and adds a new area: Iki Island. This has its own narrative arc and enhances, among other things, the level of side missions.

  • Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is available on PS4 and PS5.

God of War (2018)

god of war, developed by Santa Monica Studio, is the new installment in the saga of the same name. The player embodies Kratos, a God of War who has lost his wife and who is heading with his son Atreus to the mountains to deposit these ashes there, but what was initially a funeral rite will take an unexpected turn. . Unlike previous games based on Greek mythology, this one draws openly from Nordic (or Scandinavian) mythology and focuses its story on the father-son relationship between Kratos and Atreus. The game belongs to the Beat’em All genre which involves its share of epic battles. God of War also stands out for its cinematographic impulses underlined by the different kingdoms crossed (Midgard, Alflheim, etc.) throughout this mythical epic.

  • God of War (2018) is available on PS4 and PS5.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V, developed by Rockstar Games, is the fifth independent installment of the license of the same name. The player takes turns controlling three characters… Michael, Trevor and Franklin in the city of Los Santos located in the San Andreas region. Everyone here has their own history and characteristics that must be exploited to the best of their ability. Robberies, chases and other confrontations punctuate the gaming experience. Several missions are assigned to you with the main objective of imposing yourself in the local underworld, missions to be carried out without being caught by the police. In addition to the main scenario, the open world of GTA V is overflowing with side quests and activities of all kinds without even addressing the multiplayer component… GTA Online and its hundreds of hours of play in perspective.

  • Grand Theft Auto V is available on PS3, PS4 and PS5.

Red Dead Redemption II

Prequel to the quintessential video game western, Red Dead Redemption II narrates the adventures of Arthur Morgan who, after missing a robbery, is forced to flee with his gang to the heart of the Great American West. Even if having played red Dead Redemption sheds new light on this new iteration, it is in no way crucial to enjoying the game. The narrative and the open world are particularly rich. Indeed, the only main campaign and the many side quests offer a phenomenal playing time, not to mention the Online mode, just to (re)discover the lands of this open world between friends and/or enemies. It is also possible for you to taste the pleasures of hunting or simply to play poker. Despite a few bugs, Red Dead Redemption II was and still is in 2022 a technical, playful and artistic demonstration.

  • Red Dead Redemption II is available on PS4 and PS5.

The Last of Us Remastered & The Last of Us Part II

It was difficult to miss these two huge successes of the PlayStation brand. In
The Last of Us, the player follows the adventures of Joel and Ellie trying to survive a mysterious disease responsible for the end of humanity. This epidemic infects humans and makes them particularly aggressive. But here, no mass killings, it is above all a survival game with limited resources and weapons that must be managed. Crafting and exploring are vital here to hopefully see the end of a highly cinematic plot that is gripping from start to finish. The license digs into the horror genre and exposes us to permanent danger. The Last of Us Part II follows in the footsteps of its elder, refining the gameplay and the narration and taking care of the visuals in order to make the formula even more immersive.

  • The Last of Us Remastered & The Last of Us Part II are available on PS4 and PS5.
