Service-public.fra site that allows you to check your electoral information and therefore find your polling station, is experiencing major malfunctions this Sunday, the day of the first round of the 2022 presidential election. As reported by many Internet users, especially on Twitter, the government site, works intermittently.
“Due to heavy traffic, the requested page cannot be displayed. We invite you to renew your request in a few moments”, could read voters who tried to find out about the location of their polling station.
Service-public.fr reported thata “load shedding” page had been put in place. “Update the page regularly to be able to access the ‘Question your electoral situation’ process,” the administration said on Twitter. By late afternoon, the site seemed to be working properly again.
The polling station listed on the voter card
In the event of a bug, it is always possible to find your voting location using your voter card: the office address is indeed indicated on it.
On the other hand, many voters have potentially lost or not yet received their voter card which, it should be remembered, is not compulsory for the right to vote.
