As Blizzard unveiled its new expansion Dragonflight, the studio does not however forget the “Classic” part of its community. As a reminder, the versions “Classic” of World of Warcraft allow players to relive old expansions of the game. Subscribers were thus entitled to return to classic, the first global version of the game before returning to Outland with Burning Crusade Classic. While many clues pointed in this direction, Blizzard unveiled the future of its game classic.
Attack the Lich King!
Often cited in the best expansions of the game, Wrath of The Lich King was the second extension of World of Warcraft. Combining exploration of Northrend, fight to save the world against Algalon and assault Icecrown Citadel, it has long remained a player favourite. And that’s goodsince it will soon be possible to relive this era with Wrath of the Lich King Classic !
This extension had also seen the birth of the automated group search system. This had divided the players, because it broke the social link between them, which was very important before to carry out group activities. Good news for some, bad for others, this functionality will not be present in the classic version of this extension.
World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Classic is planned for the year 2022 while the last raid of Burning Crusade Classic has yet to open. You can find the cinematic below:
